FAMILIES
When I started photographing twenty years ago my soul focus was weddings and engagement sessions. As the years progressed, many of those couples came back to me when they started their own families. I soon realized the connection of documenting yet another chapter in their lives was a pull that outlined how much I loved the art of connectivity between parents and children. Today, documenting families is one of my absolute greatest joys and an area in my photography that I am most proud of.
I love documenting you in your homes or any place that has meaning to you or simply a beautiful park or beach that you can run around in and laugh and showcase this specific time in your life.
THE ZIMMERMAN FAMILY
Extended family sessions are a niche I really love leaning into. I love to showcase the bonds between family members in a way that doesn't feel stiff or boring and also creates a gallery of images that feel both timeless and artistic. All the better when we can create these images in a location that has meaning to your family. The Zimmerman family wanted their session at their farm, surrounded by the horses they love, the stream that ran through the backyard. Cousins running barefoot in the grass together.

THE GAVIN FAMILY
If you have been following me for a while, you know how much I love a home session. The Gavin family have invited me over for many sessions in past years, focusing on the time they spend together on their front porch drinking coffee, enjoying croissants. Watching the neighbors walk by. They also walk their neighborhood daily with their two collies, so I went along with them. Those little daily activities that are the backbone of your family are so beautiful to capture.

THE LAIDLAW FAMILY
I first started photographing Karissa and Nick when they were expecting their first baby a decade ago. Now, with six children, I delight in seeing them each year and collaborating with Karissa on clothing, location and vibes. We often put together a vision board and somehow all eight of them show up not only looking darling but these kids are so sweet and so much fun to photograph.
